Standard Bar Bingo
Terms:
- “Set”- One of the standard 5 card laminated sets you choose from the bingo table to play Bar Bingo.
- “$5 Game” – The last round of Bar Bingo is played for $5 per set, unlike the previous rounds which are all for $1 per set.
Playing Traditional Bar Bingo:
- Select one or more Sets of cards from the table pile of unused cards, based on the amount you will be playing, per round.
- Each round of Bar Bingo costs $1 per set that you wish to play. If during a particular round, you have more sets than you wish to play, turn the unused sets face down during that round.
- Bar Bingo is played like traditional Bingo in that a “Caller” calls out random playing cards (as opposed to numbers) and you achieve BINGO by covering all the matching playing cards called, in one set.
- If your final card is called to complete a set first, yell out “BINGO!” before the next number is called.
- Winning cards will be verified. You can only win on the last card called.
- Each round’s jackpot is split equally among the number of winners of that round of Bar Bingo.
Gold Card Game:
Terms:
- “Gold Card” – A custom printed playing card from the S.A.L. that on one side is gold coloring with the S.A.L. emblem and a main sponsor, and the other side represents one of any possible 52 standard playing card faces.
- “Gold Card Set” – One of the standard 5 card laminated sets you choose from the bingo table, where one of the 5 cards in the set matches one of your Gold Cards. This is then registered as your “Gold Card Set” for the event, linking the set to that specific Gold Card.
- “Traditional Game” – The traditional game of Bar Bingo for $1 per set of 5 laminated cards to win the Traditional Bar Bingo Jackpot, per round.
- “Gold Card Pot” – A separate jackpot amount from the Traditional Bar Bingo Jackpot, which can only be won by owners of Gold Cards who invest $1 per round, per Gold Card Set.
- “Playing Year” – The year of each Gold Card’s validity. Currently September 7, 2026 thru September 6, 2027.
Purchasing a Gold Card:
- Gold Cards consist of the 52 options of a standard deck of playing cards.
- Gold Cards are registered to an individual Bar Bingo player when they purchase one. When purchasing, the Gold Cards will be laying face down and you will make a random selection for each Gold Card you wish to purchase. This pile of available Gold Cards will dwindle down with each purchase until the last one is sold. We will, then, start selling from a new deck. While it is, therefore, possible for more than one person to have the same Gold Card, to win the Gold Card Pot, they would both have to be present the same event and be the last card called on any given game, therefore the chances of more than one person winning a Gold Card Pot with the same card is very low.
- You may purchase/register up to 3 gold cards for one Playing Year for $5 each. If you lose a gold card and wish to replace it, you must report it lost and can then purchase/register a new one. A lost Gold Card will be unregistered from your name and, then, no longer be valid to play with under your name (unless your new random Gold Card has the same playing face value).
- No player will have 2 matching Gold Cards. If a player decides to purchase a second or third Gold Card at a later date, after an initial Gold Card Deck has been completely sold out, and they do randomly choose a duplicate card to one they already own (are registered for the year), we will allow them to make another selection.
The Gold Card Advantage:
- For any $1 round of Bar Bingo that you play, all of your Gold Cards are in play to receive ONE (1) free Traditional Bar Bingo Set for that game IF the very first card called matches one of your Gold Cards. This is REGARDLESS of whether or not you are playing for the Gold Card Pot with one or any of your sets. If one of your Gold Cards is called first, shout out “Gold Card Ticket!” and play will be stopped, momentarily, while you are offered a random group of face-down sets to choose one Traditional Bar Bingo Set from and then check whether the first number is also on that card or is not. Play will then resume. Does not apply to the final $5 game.
Gold Card Bingo – Winning the Gold Card Pot
- For every round of Bar Bingo there is, now, both the “Traditional Bar Bingo Pot” for a standard game of Bar Bingo, and there is also a “Gold Card Pot” which is a secondary pot for Gold Card owners to take part in, only. To win the Gold Card Pot, a player must cover all 5 cards of their Gold Card Set, must have a Gold Card registered to the very set they are winning Bingo on, and the Gold Card registered to that set must be the LAST CARD called to get the Bingo. The Gold Card Pot is an accruing jackpot amount that grows each game it is not won after a round of Bar Bingo, even continuing into the next Bar Bingo event, if not won in the $5 game. Players must pay $1, per Gold Card Set, per round.
- If you do not wish to invest $1 in the Gold Card Pot in a round, you can still play that set for “just” the Traditional Bar Bingo Jackpot for $1. Or, you can play your registered Gold Card Set for only the Gold Card Jackpot for $1.
- If a Gold Card owner plays ‘only’ the Gold Card Set for $1 and does not also play that set for a Traditional round of Bar Bingo, and wins Gold Card Bingo with their Gold Card being the last card called, the Traditional Bar Bingo game will continue on until somebody wins the Traditional Bar Bingo Jackpot.
- Gold Card Pots are active every game, all 10 rounds, plus the $5 game. You can play Gold Card Bingo for $1 in each round.
- The S.A.L. collects a small percentage (usually 10% per round collected) to put towards the next Gold Card Jackpot. This ensures each ‘new’ Gold Card Jackpot is worth playing for.
- Don’t forget to scream “Gold Card Bingo!” if you get bingo from one of your Gold Cards being called last!
- During $1 Traditional Bar Bingo rounds, If you own a Gold Card, you can play each style of Bar Bingo per round for $1 each per set, or you can play both styles for $2 per round. If you play both styles, you can win both Jackpots if the last card called is your Gold Card. If your Gold Card is called before you cover all 5, but later do cover all 5, first, you still win the Traditional Bar Bingo Jackpot!
- During the $5 last round of Traditional Bar Bingo, you can still play a $1 round of Gold Card Bar Bingo for the Gold Card Pot, and have a chance to win both.
- Each round’s Gold Card Jackpot is split equally among the number of Gold Card winners for that round of Bar Bingo, in the unlikely event there is more than just one winner.
Game Integrity
- All Bar Bingo sets and Gold Cards have now been labeled with a bar code for scanning between round collections. If registering a Gold Card to a set, this should be done when you first arrive at the cashier’s table.
- During collection, if you are playing a $1 set towards a Traditional Bar Bingo round, that set will be scanned. If you are playing $1 towards the Gold Card Pot, the corresponding Gold Card of that set will be scanned. If you are playing both, both will be scanned.
