Currently set for Tuesday evenings beginning February 3, 2026. We will be adding a 2nd weekly night in the near future.
Post 92 will feature a sports game of the night (football, basketball, baseball, or hockey, Pro or NCAA) and build a jackpot to be claimed by a winning randomly drawn ticket at the end of regulation. On most nights, the game will be shown on our large screen and other TVs unless an event such as Stan’s Jazz night is occurring, in which case, we will still show the featured game on multiple TVs. If nobody has won at the end of regulation, the pot is carried over to the next sports night.
The purpose of this game is to generate traffic and sales for Post 92 and being present to win is required.
Rules:
- To play, you must order a combination of 1 meal ($11 minimum) from the kitchen and 1 bar purchase ($4 minimum), together, to receive a ticket. Tickets are generated the day of the game from 5PM until the official scheduled starting time of the night’s featured game. We cannot control rain delays or any unseen event that may delay the beginning of a game, or cause a delay**.
- For each ticket generated, $2 is added to the pot. Bartenders can specify the exact jackpot amount once the game has begun and ticket generation is final. We will do our best to publicize estimates in advance of the what the jackpot might look like for the upcoming night, based on sales trends and if a previous night’s pot is carried over.
- This contest ends and reflects the score at “the end of regulation time”, or in the case of baseball games, “the end of the 9th inning”.
- Any winning ticket must be validated within 10 minutes of the end of game regulation. This is computerized and the bartender has no control once the Validation Button on the computer screen disappears (time to validate has expired). Keep in mind, the purpose of this contest is to encourage participation and fun in our Post. If not busy, bartenders will make every attempt to look around/outside the Post at the end of a game to ask if anyone might have a winning ticket, but it is ultimately up to you to be present at the end of regulation. If you leave early and win, do not attempt to contact the bar to ask us to “hold on to the prize”. It is not possible, as the ticket must be validated and there is a short time to do so at the end of the game. Please do not put yourself at risk to attempt to speed back to the Legion!
- If there was no winning ticket generated -or- no ticket was claimed at the end of regulation, the pot rolls on to the next game night.
- A schedule of featured games will be put out monthly, approximately a week before the month begins. The games we feature will usually be prioritized as: (1) Games that begin between 7PM – 8PM. (2) South Florida teams (if playing). (3) We will attempt to use football/basketball games first due to their higher ticket generation possibilities*.
- Ticket generation process for Football and Basketball games: These tickets offer one randomly generated number between 0-9, for each team. You win if each of your two numbers match the last digit of the score, for each team, at the end of regulation. There are exactly 100 unique tickets generated for these games*.
- Ticket generation process for Baseball and Hockey games: These tickets offer one randomly generated number between 0-6, for each team. This is because baseball and hockey games generally end in lower scores. You win if each of your two numbers match the last digit of the score, for each team, at the end of regulation. No 0-0 ticket will ever be generated for Baseball or Hockey games. There are exactly 48 unique tickets generated for these games*.
- * The random ticket generation process is programmed to make sure all 100 unique combinations of tickets for Football/Baseball games -OR- all 48 unique combinations for Baseball/Hockey games, are printed first without a chance of duplication. The likelihood of the kitchen serving more than 48 meals before a game starts is very low (let alone 100). This means on most nights, only unique combinations will be drawn. However, if there is a high traffic event or, perhaps, the jackpot has rolled over enough to attract a high amount of interest, once a complete cycle of unique tickets has been printed, the system resets to create another unique cycle of tickets. That means it is technically possible to have more than one winner -BUT- keep in mind, the pot itself would be at a much higher amount, and, winning tickets do have to be present at the end of regulation. The jackpot will always be split among winning tickets claimed within 10 minutes of the end of regulation. For example, if only 1 winning ticket is claimed in that time, that person receives the entire jackpot. If 2 tickets are claimed in time, then the jackpot is split among the two people.
- ** Post 92’s liquor license allows us to stay open until 2am. In an event a game is delayed for any reason, the bartender on duty will stay open until exactly 2am when legally we must close. In the extraordinary event a game is delayed to a point that the end of regulation will not occur by 2am -OR- the game is canceled, the contest will be called over and the pot will be rolled over to the next game night. We schedule games that start between 7PM – 8PM as most will end regulation time within 3 hours. Tickets are only generated until the official advertised starting time of a game. If a game is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, we cannot generate more tickets during that delay.
- Please drink responsibly. Getting cut off from drinking does not mean you have to leave or cannot still win the jackpot if you have a winning ticket. However, anybody who engages in behavior where the bartender asks you to leave forfeits their chance of winning and their ticket is disqualified.
